Growing Tree can be an instrumental part of the learning journey for the students and families of Austin. Growing Tree is a center-based early care and education program, and as a center provides that school-like environment that’s structured for students to learn, grow and thrive. This environment can help prepare students for the levels ahead and kindergarten. As a center, as well, Growing Tree has the space and resources for activities, an enriching curriculum and plenty of peers of similar ages for students to learn and laugh with. In addition, a full-time early education and care schedule for children supports structured learning, cognitive development and social skills - and that’s what Austin parents can get at Growing Tree! Growing Tree provides a full-time program, which allows parents the time they need away to work and affords children the opportunities to learn, laugh, explore, play and get used to longer days. Children will enjoy a community with others their own ages and develop behavioral and social skills in Growing Tree’s learning environment. Growing Tree also proffers a Reggio Emilia curriculum that place emphasis on relationships, culture, and constructivist learning. Students and families can expect a Reggio Emilia school like Growing Tree to be very community-focused, both within and outside of the classroom, and teach the principles of respect and responsibility even at such an early age. The Reggio Emilia method also emphasizes discovery, exploration and play, often through the sensory experiences of touching, moving, and listening, and seeks to develop the whole student by activating students to have boundless ways of expressing themselves and taking some control over their own education.
