Golden Forest Headstart can be an instrumental part of the learning journey for the students and families of Houston. Golden Forest Headstart is a center-based early care and education program, and as a center provides that school-like environment that’s structured for students to learn, grow and thrive. This environment can help prepare students for the levels ahead and kindergarten. As a center, as well, Golden Forest Headstart has the space and resources for activities, an enriching curriculum and plenty of peers of similar ages for students to learn and laugh with. The full-time schedule at Golden Forest Headstart is also here for you and your child. A full-time schedule gives students the full opportunity for social, behavioral, language and cognitive development. Students will play, interact and laugh with other students their own ages on a daily basis and get the benefits of a dedicated, structured environment. Parents get a real community for their children and the time away to work and take care of other tasks! Students at Golden Forest Headstart will also experience a bilingual curriculum designed to both develop meaningful gains in multiple languages and develop the academic skills that come with challenging students’ cognitive and vocabulary skills early. Students will be able to practice their new language both in learning other subjects like math and science and in play and cooperation with peers. Early bilingual education has been shown to expand students’ cognitive horizons, seed language fundamentals and set students up for academic success in the future!
