Learning, education and new experiences are what it’s all about for little ones and Shepherd House Early Learning Center provides these and more in an in-home setting. Families will find a community of like learners and a cozy, intimate setting at the home-based Shepherd House Early Learning Center. Children can benefit from a home-based setting as the setting can encourage feelings of familiarity and comfort and encourage a smooth transition from the family home to the learning environment and the years to come! Shepherd House Early Learning Center has a full-time schedule that promotes community for the students and families that attend. Students will have the opportunity to get to know the same peers and adults, every day, and learn together in a structured environment. With plenty of opportunities to explore, play, and try new activities, students will grow their cognitive and language skills as well as their sense of wonder at the world around them. Parents will see their children’s social and behavioral development grow in leaps and bounds! Students at Shepherd House Early Learning Center will also experience an arts-based curriculum that emphasizes how engagement with visual arts, dance, music and storytelling can develop the whole child. Children at an arts-based curriculum make with their hands, learn from staff and peers and take their creations from inception to finish. Through this engagement with the arts, students will develop a unique bend of social, emotional, motor and intellectual skills that will serve them well as they transition to more academic-based environments in the future.
