Southmayd Elem Pre-K is a public pre-kindergarten program serving the parents and families of Houston. As a pre-k, Southmayd Elem Pre-K provides a structured, stable learning environment that replicates the best of the formal school years ahead and is hosted on the same campus where they may even be able to attend kindergarten once they graduate pre-k. Southmayd Elem Pre-K also takes a play-based approach to facilitating the learning and development of students. A play-based educational approach emphasizes theme-based, hands-on activities that get students involved, often in the areas of learning that they’re particularly interested in at the time.
