California Wiz Kids is a center-based child care and early education facility serving the students and families of Los Angeles! As a center, California Wiz Kids provides a school-like learning and enrichment environment that gives students a taste of what they’ll experience at more formal school in the years to come. Students at California Wiz Kids are provided the socialization opportunities that come with peers of similar ages, the enrichment opportunities that come with a center’s resources and structure, and the community that comes with experienced staff. California Wiz Kids moreover offers a full-time schedule, making it convenient for parents to drop their children off in the morning and know they’ll have plenty of time for everything else in the day they need to take care of. With a full-time schedule, as well, teachers and staff have the luxury of getting to know students in-depth, day in and day out. Parents can have the confidence that their children are growing, learning and playing in a structured environment. Students at California Wiz Kids will also experience an arts-based curriculum that emphasizes how engagement with visual arts, dance, music and storytelling can develop the whole child. Children at an arts-based curriculum make with their hands, learn from staff and peers and take their creations from inception to finish. Through this engagement with the arts, students will develop a unique bend of social, emotional, motor and intellectual skills that will serve them well as they transition to more academic-based environments in the future.
