It’s all about students and how they learn at Ortega Family Child Care. Ortega Family Child Care provides early care and education in an in-home setting, which can be ideal for families looking to replicate the best of the comfort and familiarity of home paired with supervised, non-family adult care and instruction and a peer setting for children. Children at Ortega Family Child Care will be a part of small group sizes and be able to learn, explore and play day in and day out with those that will soon become fast friends! Ortega Family Child Care has a full-time schedule that promotes community for the students and families that attend. Students will have the opportunity to get to know the same peers and adults, every day, and learn together in a structured environment. With plenty of opportunities to explore, play, and try new activities, students will grow their cognitive and language skills as well as their sense of wonder at the world around them. Parents will see their children’s social and behavioral development grow in leaps and bounds! In addition, Ortega Family Child Care takes a play-based approach to child development and education. Play-based curriculums emphasize students having the independence to explore their own interests at the time, be they creative, constructional, observational or artistic, and emphasize students being hands-on and natural with their activities. Staff at play-based curriculums take an active role in the discovery and learning process, encouraging students to dig in, explore, and cooperate with their peers to create the world around them.
