About The Dandelion School

The Dandelion School is a uniquely intimate mixed-ages home-based early childhood education program, serving children of all ages. At Dandelion, we understand the importance of small group size and the power of a low child-to-teacher ratio. We customize curriculum in order to nurture and respect the developing minds and personalities of all our students. Dandelion’s philosophy is heavily influenced by Multiple Intelligence (MI) Theory. Supported by up-to-date brain research, MI Theory is the understanding that children possess a “spectrum” of eight intelligences: Linguistic, Spatial, Logical/Mathematical, Bodily/Kinesthetic, Musical, Interpersonal, Intra-personal, and Naturalistic. It is our desire to teach to the WHOLE CHILD by strengthening all areas of development and intelligence. At Dandelion we value the beauty and complexity in the way children process their world and strive to help them understand who they are as well as inspire a lifelong love for learning.
