YMCA Of Metro Los Angeles/Nv El Oro Way is a center-based child care and early education facility serving the students and families of Los Angeles! As a center, YMCA Of Metro Los Angeles/Nv El Oro Way provides a school-like learning and enrichment environment that gives students a taste of what they’ll experience at more formal school in the years to come. Students at YMCA Of Metro Los Angeles/Nv El Oro Way are provided the socialization opportunities that come with peers of similar ages, the enrichment opportunities that come with a center’s resources and structure, and the community that comes with experienced staff. YMCA Of Metro Los Angeles/Nv El Oro Way has a part-time schedule, as well, perfect for parents that want the flexibility to be away from their little ones for awhile but don’t need a full-time day just yet. Students will get used to the structured learning environment, with all the peer play & social exploration that comes with that, but don’t yet need to adjust to long days away from parents. The part-time program at YMCA Of Metro Los Angeles/Nv El Oro Way sets students up for success in the years ahead. Students at YMCA Of Metro Los Angeles/Nv El Oro Way will also experience an arts-based curriculum that emphasizes how engagement with visual arts, dance, music and storytelling can develop the whole child. Children at an arts-based curriculum make with their hands, learn from staff and peers and take their creations from inception to finish. Through this engagement with the arts, students will develop a unique bend of social, emotional, motor and intellectual skills that will serve them well as they transition to more academic-based environments in the future.
