We are a small, in-home, family childcare program. We see ourselves as the perfect transition between home and school and have been providing that service for 23 years. We provide a safe and welcoming learning center for children two months to four years old. We are a Regulated, Accredited, Bilingual Family Child Care. Although there is both English and Spanish literature, the curriculum itself is English exclusive. Our home has a large backyard so that the children have a lot of space to run and be creative and it is fully enclosed with a high gate. Our indoor and outdoor facility is equipped and regularly altered with the appropriate equipment for the age group we have. Our attentive staff is consistent and loving with the children, allowing them to form strong bonds with their caretakers and among the small group of children that we have.We have a creative curriculum that focuses on real world scenes as well as the preferences of the children and the needs of the age groups we have. The curriculum is focused on a monthly theme that is decided by the time of the year; the stories, songs, discussions and activities are in accordance with the theme. We engage the children's curiosity and their interest in learning by providing a widespread and comprehensive educational program. In Sweet Child Care, our days are never repeated. My family and I immigrated to the United States from South America many years ago, but my life really changed when my second daughter was born. I have always had a resilient and passionate work ethic so I knew I wanted to work and be financially stable for my family but I did not know anyone I trusted to leave my baby with. In order to look after my daughter at home and have an income, I decided to look after two more children. I realized soon after that looking after a child was more than just watching them, it was tending to their nutritional and developmental needs. I decided to go to college again (Montgomery County College) to learn of Early Childhood Development; I wanted to provide quality care and make myself a professional in my new career.
