About Bright Heart Child Care
"I look to a day when people will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character." - Martin Luther King. Bright Hearts Child Care in Silver Spring, MD is a large licensed home daycare located near Argyle Middle School (Aspen Hill). We are a mother and daughter team specializing in childcare for children ages one month to four years old. We are working to acquire her Maryland Excels and we are CDA certified. Our goal is to provide a fun and safe learning environment for your child, while encouraging social, emotional, intellectual, and physical development. Your child will receive quality personal and individualized care in a warm and loving home, where they can feel safe and happy and can begin to build confidence and a positive self-image. B.H.C.C. is based on the child development model which incorporate the theories of the great philosophers of Piaget, Vygosky, Erikson, Gardner and others. Learning through play is viewed as the cornerstone of the curriculum. Here Children are giving the opportunity to explore materials and participate in variety of experiences. Activities are carefully planned and implemented in an open- classroom sitting. Children are free to choose from age- appropriate activities including: Art, music, Language Development, Pre- Math Skills, Science and Nature and Dramatic Play. Children develop self – esteem, independence and problem-solving skills as they make choices and assist in planning the environment and activities. We offer a high-quality bilingual program such as the dual language (English & Spanish). The proficiency in more than one language is a valuable skill to be cultivated in our communities starring in the early ages. My primary goal is for the children to feel safe and secure. Prior to being independent a child must know that he or she can depend on adults and a predictable environment. Children are treated with respect and kindness. I recognize the children develop at different rates and different interest.
