Cbs Kids is a center-based early care and education program for the students and families of Philadelphia. Attending centers like Cbs Kids can benefit students who’re ready for a school-like environment, rich in activities, resources and opportunities to learn and grow, but don’t want to sacrifice on the close relationships with peers and staff that you’d expect from any child care provider. Students at Cbs Kids join a community of learners that will explore, play and grow together. With a full-time schedule, Cbs Kids further provides what parents want in care and education. Full-time care allows students to get the best of a real community outside of the home - chock full of learning, laughter, play and fun - with the strength of a structured program and structured day that’ll benefit them down the road. Parents get the time they need to work while watching their children grow leaps and bounds in language and cognitive development. Additionally, Cbs Kids takes an arts-based educational approach, giving students exposure to the visual arts, music, movement and storytelling. Arts-based educational approaches value the process of creation over the end product and focus on building student confidence through the emotional satisfaction that comes with creating something personal. Through hands-on experience in a variety of mediums and exploration with peers and staff, students gain a unique blend of emotional, intellectual, creative and motor skills.
