As a center, Childrens Learning Arc provides an environment that’s geared towards stability, structure and providing learning resources and opportunities for children to explore the sights and sounds of the world around them. Children will meet and form bonds with peers of like ages and benefit from quality instructions from experienced adults. Philadelphia parents also have the opportunity to enroll in a full-time schedule at Childrens Learning Arc. The full-time schedule gives students the maximum opportunity to learn in a structured, professional environment, around adults they’ll form close bonds with and peers they'll learn, play and laugh with! The full-time schedule also allows parents to have those precious large, repeated blocks of time to work and get things done while their children are cared for in a learning environment. In addition, Childrens Learning Arc teaches a mixed-age curriculum that facilities peer learning and communal growth. In a mixed-age classroom like at Childrens Learning Arc, students receive open-ended, stimulating activities and are encouraged to move at their own pace. Younger students receive help and encouragement from older students, boosting their confidence and self-esteem, and older students get to lend a helping hand, teaching empathy and the joy of giving. Mixed-age learning replicates the best of a family or neighborhood group structure as children socialize with peers a little ahead or a little behind their own development path.
