Jefferson Child Care Center is a center-based early care and education program for the students and families of Philadelphia. Attending centers like Jefferson Child Care Center can benefit students who’re ready for a school-like environment, rich in activities, resources and opportunities to learn and grow, but don’t want to sacrifice on the close relationships with peers and staff that you’d expect from any child care provider. Students at Jefferson Child Care Center join a community of learners that will explore, play and grow together. Philadelphia parents also have the opportunity to enroll in a full-time schedule at Jefferson Child Care Center. The full-time schedule gives students the maximum opportunity to learn in a structured, professional environment, around adults they’ll form close bonds with and peers they'll learn, play and laugh with! The full-time schedule also allows parents to have those precious large, repeated blocks of time to work and get things done while their children are cared for in a learning environment. Students at Jefferson Child Care Center will also experience a bilingual curriculum designed to both develop meaningful gains in multiple languages and develop the academic skills that come with challenging students’ cognitive and vocabulary skills early. Students will be able to practice their new language both in learning other subjects like math and science and in play and cooperation with peers. Early bilingual education has been shown to expand students’ cognitive horizons, seed language fundamentals and set students up for academic success in the future!
