Little Miracles can be an instrumental part of the learning journey for the students and families of Philadelphia. Little Miracles is a center-based early care and education program, and as a center provides that school-like environment that’s structured for students to learn, grow and thrive. This environment can help prepare students for the levels ahead and kindergarten. As a center, as well, Little Miracles has the space and resources for activities, an enriching curriculum and plenty of peers of similar ages for students to learn and laugh with. With a full-time schedule, Little Miracles also can provide the care that Philadelphia parents need. Full-time means that students get the best of repeated daily instruction with non-family adults and peers of similar ages. Students will see their development and learning skills grow quickly in an environment that’ll set them up well for the years ahead! Parents get the benefit, too, of enrolling their children in a learning community all the while having the large time blocks to spend at work or on other responsibilities. Little Miracles also offers a mixed-age classroom and curriculum which emphasizes open-ended, tactile activities that allow children to explore however that learning activity makes the most sense to them. Mixed-age classrooms like at Little Miracles encourage peer learning, asking help from each other and reinforce a sense of empathy for one’s peers. Older students will learn leadership skills and younger students have the advantage of joining a classroom that already has the building blocks of community.
