Olney Charter High School welcomes the students and families of Philadelphia to its center-based early child care and education facility. As a center, Olney Charter High School resembles the best of what students will get in the years ahead in structured schooling while maintaining the close community and relationships that’re instrumental in early childhood development. Attending a center benefits students as students will spend their days in a structured, stable environment that hones spatial, vocabulary and other skills with enriching curriculums and activities. A full-time schedule for young children can additionally help children develop the social, behavioral and language skills that’ll help them succeed in the years to come. Olney Charter High School offers this schedule in a structured learning environment that’ll unlock the best that those precious early years have to offer. Children will play amongst peer of similar ages, learn from the same adults day in and day out, and explore the world around them. Parents will benefit from the community that comes with seeing the same faces every day, too! Students at Olney Charter High School will also experience an arts-based curriculum that emphasizes how engagement with visual arts, dance, music and storytelling can develop the whole child. Children at an arts-based curriculum make with their hands, learn from staff and peers and take their creations from inception to finish. Through this engagement with the arts, students will develop a unique bend of social, emotional, motor and intellectual skills that will serve them well as they transition to more academic-based environments in the future.
