When Marc founded Strong Start Early Care & Education in 2014, he wanted to find a technology solution that would make his operations more efficient. At first, he couldn’t find anything. He settled on a system that was on a server and slow. His teachers used paper daily sheets to communicate with families.
Then, one night, he stumbled across brightwheel on Shark Tank. He signed up immediately, and over the last 5 years, the tool has exceeded his expectations by a long shot.
Brightwheel helps us save at least 10 hours a week on center operations and administration.

An innovative tool that is safe and secure
Marc loves that brightwheel is constantly adding new features. As an example, Strong Start adopted the Admissions tool on brightwheel just last year, which helped further streamline the program’s systems. Before, they used an Admissions system developed internally. It was less efficient because communication came in from many different sources. With brightwheel, everything is in one place for both the administrators and the families.
While Marc sees brightwheel as the cutting edge app he’d been searching for, he also feels confident that his program’s account information is safe and secure. He appreciates that parents have full control over who is able to access their child’s profile on brightwheel.

Every year, A Strong Start sends a survey to families. One theme that always stands out in the survey results is how much parents love brightwheel. New parents appreciate how the app reduces their anxiety around transitioning their child from home to a program for the first time. Marc also says that with brightwheel, the staff never need to worry about an email going to spam. (With 500 parents, a 0% spam/bounce rate is game changing!)
The feedback we heard about brightwheel from the parent survey was only positive. On a scale of 1 to 10, brightwheel got a 10.
