Munisha was introduced to brightwheel in 2017 through a grant her program received after Hurricane Harvey. When the grant expired, everyone at Excelsior University for Children – the Owners, staff, families, and especially Munisha – couldn’t imagine a future without brightwheel.

The elimination of late payments

When the time came to decide whether the program should pay for brightwheel so staff and families could continue using it, it was a no-brainer for the owners. Why? Most notably, their Accounts Receivable balance drastically decreased after starting brightwheel. Now, 95% of families are on track with payments.

There was a one week period after the grant expired when Excelsior University for Children did not have access to brightwheel, and all the parents and staff expressed how much they valued the app and wanted it back. Everyone was relieved when their brightwheel accounts were fully back online after a few days.

Easy teacher onboarding with brightwheel

Something else that Munisha loves about brightwheel is its ease of use. New teachers have no trouble learning the app, and within one week they fall in love with the way it supports stronger connections with families. Teachers are eager to train other teachers on brightwheel, which takes a load off Munisha’s plate as a director.
